PhD Students

Kumar Shivam is PhD fellow in Molecular Science and Engineering under the guidance of Dr. Ranjan Patra in Amity Institute of Click Chemistry Research and Studies, Amity University Noida, India. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in chemistry from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. He completed his post-graduation in Analytical chemistry from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. His current research is focused on designing and synthesis of novel porphyrin based nano conjugate and evaluating its therapeutic potential.

Swati Dhamija obtained her master's degree in Organic Chemistry from H.N.B. Garhwal university (2016). She worked as project assistant in DST-SERB funded project entitled. ‘Mechanistic Investigation of Metallo-porphyrin catalyzed Animation Reaction: An experimental and theoretical Exploration’, in Amity University, Noida. Currently, she is pursuing Ph.D. under the supervision of Dr. Ranjan Patra in Amity Institute of Click Chemistry Research and Studies, Amity University, Noida. Her current research focuses on synthesis of metal centre based-porphyrins , catalysis and C-H functionalization (C-H amination).

Anil is a Phd fellow at Amity Institute of Click Chemistry Research and Studies (AICCRS) under the guidance of Dr. Ranjan Patra. He obtained his B.Sc. degree in chemistry from Mumbai university followed by M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry from institute of science , Mumbai. His area of research is - Design and synthesis of Co-Crystals through non-covalent interactions. He is also associated with Teva pharmaceuticals working in analytical research and development department.

Ritam Das is a Research associate in Dr. Patra’s lab in the Amity Institute of Click Chemistry Research and Studies, Amity University Noida, India. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from Kharagpur College under Vidyasagar University (2021). He completed his post-graduation in Inorganic Chemistry from Vidyasagar University(2023). His current research focused on Synthesis of Halogenated and Chalcogenated Porphyrins for Photo Catalysis Reaction and Role of Halogen Bond (XB) and Chalcogen Bond (CB) Interactions.
Alumni

Dr. Jyoti Rani did her B.Sc from Kurukshetra University, Haryana and M.Sc from Punjab University, Patiala, India. She continued her studies towards PhD at Punjab University Chandigarh, where the focus of her work centered on supramolecular assembly of functionalised metalloporphyrins sustained by weak non covalent interactions like halogen bond, hydrogen bond. She completed her PhD in August 2021. She has also worked as Assistant Professor at Shoolini University, Solan for one year. She is currently working as Assistant Professor at Rama University, Kanpur.
Thesis Title: “SYNTHESIS, CHARACTERIZATION, SUPRAMOLECULAR ASSEMBLY AND PHOTOPHYSICAL STUDIES OF FUNCTIONALISED METALLOPORPHYRINS” 19th April 2021.

Sushila has obtained her bachelor's degree from kurukshetra university, kurukshetra, Haryana, India. She has completed her post-graduation from kurukshetra university, kurukshetra, Haryana, India with specialization in Physical chemistry. Sushila has completed his PhD in the field of synthesis of magnetic materials designed through coordination chemistry.
Thesis Title: “SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF HOMO AND HETEROMETALLIC COORDINATION CLUSTERS: APPLICATION FOR MAGNETIC MATERIALS” May 2023.

Rafia Siddiqui obtained her bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Gargi College, Delhi University in 2015. She completed her post-graduation in organic chemistry from Jamia Hamdard University in 2017. She worked as a project assistant for two years in Department of chemistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, where which she focused on the area synthetic organic chemistry under the supervision of professors Dr. Rashid Ali. Currently, she is pursuing PhD under Dr. Ranjan Patra in Amity Institute of Click Chemistry Research and Studies, Amity University, Noida. Her current research focuses on study of non covalent interaction in halogen and chalcogen functionalized porphyrin
